Kiriko is an object like a big lantern. There are many festivals in the Noto peninsula called “Kiriko Matsuri” (festival). The biggest kiriko is 15 meters high and weighs 2 tons. Many people carry kirikos on their shoulders and run with them. It is very exciting.
