Named in honor of Fran?coise Roques (1956– ) for her work on the dynamics of planetary and circumstellar disks. Roques has numerically explored the interaction of circumstellar dust disks with embedded planets and has applied her work both to the β Pictoris system and to binary stars. She has also observed stellar occultations by the giant planets with the principal goal of analyzing the dynamics of the planetary atmospheres. (M 27460) _ _.
