Kenzo Tange (1913-2005), a world-renowned Japanese architect, was born in Osaka and lived in Ehime prefecture until junior high school. He designed many public buildings, including the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, the Kagawa Prefectural Office and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings.
