Chris Lintott (b. 1980), a junior fellow at Somerville College, Oxford, works on star formation. Much involved in educating the public about astronomy, he has since 2004 been co-presenter of the long-standing BBC monthly television program The Sky at Night. The name was suggested by P. Moore.
