Klement Slavický (1910–1999) was an outstanding Czech composer, whose personal musical expression was rooted in the folk-music culture of Moravia. He was also appreciated for his life-long high moral standards. In 1985 Slavický was awarded with the Golden Medal of the United Nations for his fourth Symphonietta. (M 36950) _ _.
