Named in honor of Tom Bopp, codiscoverer of comet C/1995 O1 (Hale-Bopp), and his father, Frank Bopp. During the last year the two Bopps have enjoyed observing the comet and in lecturing about it as a team. Tom Bopp is an accomplished observer and Frank a superb machinist who has fashioned materials for the Shoemaker-Levy observing program. (M 30100) _ _.
