Irurita is one of 15 villages nestled in the Baztan Valley, within the autonomous community of Navarre in the Basque Country in northern Spain. This area has been populated since Paleolithic times and many megalithic monuments are scattered throughout the countryside, as well as Roman remains and bridges.
