Named in honor of Seishi Shinagawa (1944– ), who was the first to use electronic computers for orbit computation in Japan, having written a computer program for this in 1965. This program was used by Yoshiaki Banno (1952–1991) {see planet (3394)}. (M 22500) _ _.
