German physicist Michael (“Migo”) Mueller (b. 1974) has advanced knowledge of the thermal properties of minor planets, including modeling the thermal behavior of an eclipsing binary. He determined the thermal inertia of a double minor planet from mid-infrared observations of mutual eclipses from the Spitzer Space Telescope.
